Duracell is famous for AA cells, but its car batteries are a separate product built by automotive battery manufacturers under licence. Is a Duracell right for a car in Dubai
Treat it like any other battery and look past the copper-coloured top. A Duracell Advanced in the correct DIN size is a sound replacement for a Volkswagen, Ford, Peugeot or Renault without start-stop. The Extreme EFB and Extreme AGM lines cover the start-stop versions of the same cars, as long as the type matches what the factory fitted.
Heat sets the limit here, as it does for every brand. In the UAE most batteries last about 2 to 3 years because high temperature dries the electrolyte and corrodes the grids. Duracell's sealed construction limits water loss, but it cannot change how the car is used. Short drives around Arjan with the AC on full leave any battery undercharged.
